AIIMS Delhi director to meet students, staff to discuss ideas, research, patient care on designated days

AIIMS will be allowing students, staff and faculty to meet director without prior appointment to discuss ideas and suggestions for the institute.

NEW DELHI: To encourage free flow of thoughts, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi director, M Srinivas will be meeting students, staff and doctors without prior appointments to discuss innovative ideas and suggestions for patient care, research and good governance.

The open meeting timings are from 8 AM to 9 AM where a n allotted group can meet with the AIIMS director to discuss the topics mentioned. The weekly slots have been divided as follows-

• Sunday- Undergraduate and PhD students
• Monday- Faculty
• Tuesday- Nursing staff
• Wednesday- Allied health professionals
• Thursday- Outsourced staff
• Friday- All other staff
• Saturday- Post graduate students and senior residents

The institute encourages the AIIMS students, staff and faculty to use these time slot for practical suggestions for enhancement of patient care, academics, research, etc. "Interpersonal issues or personal grievances which are already under consideration of administration/any committee/ ministry etc., should not be brought up for discussion during these meetings to enable efficient utilisation of this time," read the AIIMS statement.
