Anna University withdraws decision to suspend Tamil BE in mechanical, civil engineering

NEW DELHI: Anna University, Chennai has rescheduled theory examinations that were postponed due to the declaration of holiday in view of the Mandous cyclone. The exams were to be held on December 9 and 10, 2022.

"It is informed that theory examinations scheduled on 09/12/2022 and 10/12/2022 of November/December 2022 examinations of Anna University pertaining to all affiliated colleges for the UG and PG degree programmes are rescheduled due to the declaration of holiday by the government of Tamil Nadu in view of Mandous cyclone," read the official notice.

The government of Tamil Nadu declared a holiday for schools in some districts due to heavy rains in the Tiruvallur, Uthukottai Taluks and Kancheepuram districts. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), under the cyclonic circulation over Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and north Kerala, a low pressure area is likely to form in these regions again around December 13.
