Assam Board HSLC Result 2023: Students who failed need to take re-admission in Class 10; confirms Ranoj Pegu
There will be no change in the registration number and repeater students can appear in Class 10th exam next year with the same registration number.
NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) issued a notification today for the students who failed the High School Leaving Certificate Examinations (HSLC) 2023 exam. As per the notice, students who did not qualify for the Class 10th exam this year are required to take re-admission in 10th for regular classes.

Students of the SEBA board who failed this year will be allowed to appear in the Class 10th examination next year only if they take the re-admission.
Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu has also confirmed the same today through his official Twitter handle. The minister stated, "Students who didn't pass in the HSLC Examination, 2023 are required to take re-admission in Class X for regular classes. Then only they will be allowed to appear in the subsequent examination".

Students can take admission to the same schools from where they appeared HSLC examination 2023. If the parent school is not in a position to offer re-admission students can take admission in any other school within the same centre from where they appeared for the exam.
There will be no change in the registration number and students will have to appear in subsequent examinations with the same registration number.
The notice also says that students are allowed to change elective subjects if desired so, but it has to be done before the half-yearly examination. Repeaters will have to appear compulsorily in the half-yearly examination of Class 10, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the final exam next year.
