BHU form panel to suggest measures for overall growth of students

BHU's panel will be studying best practices on student engagement available by which students may be effectively and proactively engaged.

NEW DELHI: The Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi has set up a panel to deliberate on engaging students in various activities of the varsity. The panel is chaired by the Dean of Students. The panel will be studying best practices on student engagement available in other educational institutions and identify opportunities and activities in which students may be effectively and proactively engaged.

This exercise will aim to improve the ecosystem of the university, in curricular and co-curricular activities. The panel will be recommending possible ways to help students adapt to the university and identify means to implement reform measures for students.

In addition to this, the panel will also be suggesting other relevant aspects that will improve the quality of student life in the University. The committee has been mandated with reviewing the report on "mechanism for the reformation of errant students".

The members of the panel include BHU controller of examinations, S Shrikrishna; department of biochemistry, Ankur Singh; Deputy medical superintendent, Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Rajneesh K Singh; Member, Legal Cell, Vaishali Raghuvanshi; Mahila Mahavidyalaya, and Trayambak Tiwari; Department of psychology. Advisor (Students Affairs) Sayantan Sanyal is the member secretary of the committee.
