Carry all your required documents

  • Verification documents
  • Applicable certificates such as category certificate
  • Self declaration form

Be on time

Candidates must reach the exam centre 10-15 minutes before their reporting time.

Sit prepared for the exam

Keep the following points in mind while you are going to sit for the exam:

  • Check seating arrangements beforehand
  • Use the washroom beforehand
  • Obey your invigilators

CAT Exam 2021: Don’ts

Make sure you don’t do the following:

Don’t carry personal belongings

Personal belongings such as mobile phone, wallet, watch and stationery items will not be allowed inside the examination hall.

Don’t violate the dress code

Candidates should stick to the dress code strictly. Don’t wear jewellery, closed shoes, clothes with pockets etc.

Don’t resort to any unfair means

Candidates must not use any unfair means to clear CAT. Writing answers on hand, carrying short paper notes, asking other candidates answers and related unfair means will be considered as cheating and the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

Don’t look at others’ screen

Candidates are advised to maintain a straight posture and look at their computer screen instead of looking at what the others are doing. Looking at other fellow candidates’ screen or observing their speed, actions etc. can make you nervous and get you into trouble.
