NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has successfully concluded slot 3 of CAT exam 2021. According to the CAT slot 3 exam analysis, students found the data interpretation and logical reasoning section was difficult. While reading comprehension and verbal ability were moderate to difficult and the quantitative ability section was easy but tricky. Slot 3 of CAT 2021 was conducted from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM (2 hours) wherein the students had to answer 66 questions from three different sections; Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Quantitative Ability (QA), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR).

The total number of questions in CAT slot 3 was the same as slot 1 and 2 which means 66 (VARC - 24, DILR - 20, QA - 22). The CAT exam duration was 120 mins with a sectional time limit of 40 minutes for each section. For PwD students, 13 minutes and 20 seconds extra time has been provided for each section.

CAT exam 2021: Slot 3 students reaction

According to the students who appeared in the CAT 2021 exam slot 3, the overall difficulty level was moderate when compared to CAT slot 1 and slot 2. Candidates who took CAT exam slot 3, said, "Exam was Moderately difficult. The quant was easy but tricky". As per slot 3 paper, the Verbal and DILR were moderately difficult.

Students who took CAT 2021 shift 3 say the syllabus was similar to last year but questions were reduced from each section. The VARC section was comparatively tougher. Quant was difficult and English was lengthy. As per the revised paper pattern, the duration of CAT 2021 was enough to complete the CAT exam in time this year.

As per the CAT aspirant, the overall difficulty level of slot 3 CAT 2021 was moderate but the DILR section was difficult. Quant was moderate too. The difficulty level of the exam was a surprise for some students since they expected the exam to be easy.
