NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education’ controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has said that conduct of CBSE board exams 2022 for Classes 10 and 12 in two terms will help reduce stress level of students, as per a Hindustan Times report.

Bhardwaj said that the percentage of failure will be reduced and students will get an opportunity to improve, the report said.

According to the report, Bhardwaj said: “As per the National Education Policy (NEP), the stress level of students should be reduced. So, if we conduct the board examination in two terms the stress level of the children will be less because the first exam will be half of the syllabus, the second exam will be of another half of the syllabus. The percentage of failure will also be reduced and children will get a chance to improve themselves. They will be able to focus on their studies in a better way.”

The CBSE controller added that by conducting the board exams twice, they are giving a chance to students to measure their performance and to see how much they need to prepare for the next term. The term-1 exam will let students evaluate themselves and come with better preparation and improvement in term-2, he said, as per the report.
