CBSE 12th Accountancy Exam Analysis 2023: Balanced paper; straightforward questions

CBSE Class 12 accountancy paper 2023 included some indirect questions. Students were able to complete exam on time, as per reactions.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 accountancy paper was balanced, straight forward, and had a moderate difficulty level, according to reactions from students and teachers. CBSE 12th accountancy exam was held today from 10:30am to 1:30pm.

According to Prerna Gandhi, PGT Commerce, KIIT World School, “The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Accountancy paper on Friday, March 31, 2023 was simple and well balanced. There were easy and straightforward questions, some questions that required direct application of theories and a few that required deep analysis and interpretation.”

“As per the candidates who wrote the examination today, CBSE Class 12 Accountancy examination was easy for most of the parts. Some questions in Part A were direct but were lengthy. However, overall the paper was balanced, within the capabilities of all the students,” she added.

Mayank Arora, PGT, Accountancy, DPS Rajnagar Extension said, “The level of paper was moderate. According to the students, they were able to complete the paper in time and were able to revise it. The thorough knowledge of basic concepts was good enough to solve most of the questions. Most of the MCQs were straight forward except a few and could be answered easily. The six marker questions were application based and a good practice of that would have made the students solve them easily. Part-B of the paper was too easy. Overall, students were satisfied with the level of paper and claimed the paper as a balanced one.”

Archana Jain, PGT Accountancy, DPS Indirapuram found the paper as balanced. It was more or less based on CBSE sample paper. The difficulty level was maintained, she said. One theory question of 3 marks included in part B was a little challenging and could confuse the students, she added.

As per Shubham Jain, PGT Accountancy, MRG School, “The Accountancy paper's difficulty level inclined from easy to moderate and the students were able to complete the paper in time. Few of the questions required critical thinking and were indirect but overall the response from the students is that the paper was satisfactorily completed by them. It was a balanced paper as per the CBSE guidelines.
