NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked schools to submit a list of candidates (LOC) for Class 10, 12 board exams 2022-23. According to CBsE’s official notification, the data collection for eligible candidates through LOC will begin from June 16. Schools should submit LOC through the e-pariksha link given on the CBSE official website - cbse.gov.in. The last date to submit LOC is August 31 without late fee.

CBSE’s latest notification read, “As submission of the LOC as per schedule is very important the schools are therefore requested to plan timely submission of data of the candidates. It will also have to be ensured that the filled-in data is correct.” The board also listed down actions to be taken for registration of students in the LOC.

Schools should only sponsor their own regular and bonafide students. Students should not belong to unaffiliated schools and should not be registered to any other school board. Also, they should be attending classes regularly, the CBSE notification said.

“Only those students will be allowed to appear for Class 10 and 12 board examinations in session 2022-23, whose names would be submitted through the online process of submission of LOC,” the board notification said.

Schools can submit the list of candidates in online mode only. CBSE will not consider offline submission. There will be no correction window for editing the data that has already been uploaded, the board said. Schools should register themselves before submitting the online data by using the affiliation number available to them as their registration number.

CBSE Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS) data should be submitted by schools before the deadline. Any correction or modification done by schools will be strictly observed by the Regional Officers of CBSE.

However, as mentioned before, no data can be corrected or edited once the school has submitted the data. Schools should also take a printout of the final LOC and obtain the signature of the candidate, his or her mother, and father to confirm the details. There will be no extension of any date and schools will have to fill all the information correctly, the CBSE said.
