NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 term 2 social science exam was held today, May 14. The exam was concluded by 12:30 pm with the students getting 2 hours to attend the CBSE Class 10 social science exam. While many students and teachers said that the Class 10 social science question paper 2022 was easy, some called it a balanced paper.

Pratibha Singhal, a social science teacher at the JAIN International Residential School (JIRS) Bengaluru told Careers360 that all of the three sets of CBSE 10th social science question paper were easy. According to her, most questions were straightforward, and only two to three questions from each set had slight twists. She also opined that the case studies and map-related questions in the CBSE Class 10 social science exam paper were easy. "Overall today's Social Science paper was a standard and good one. I am sure that the students must have performed well in this subject," she said.

Deepika Gupta, a History teacher from Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, described the Class 10 social science question paper 2022 as a balanced question paper. "As a subject, Social Science is feared by many students. The class X Board Exam of Social Science was, however, a balanced question paper, much to everyone’s relief," she said.

Gupta said that most questions from the first three sections of the CBSE 10th social science paper were taken directly from the textbooks. In her opinion, a thorough reading of the NCERT textbook could fetch the students good marks in this exam, but certain questions, especially from history and economics were challenging as they required students to think and apply their minds. "The paper also had application and case-based questions that prioritise and reward the understanding of the themes rather than memorizing the content. Even the map work was easy and it was an opportunity for the students to score well," she said.
