NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting the CBSE Class 10 exam for major subjects from today, November 30, 2021. The CBSE Class 10 board exams for major subjects will commence from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in offline mode. The CBSE board exam will conclude on December 11, 2021.

This year, the CBSE is conducting the board exam in two terms. The CBSE board exam date 2021 Class 10 term 1 is scheduled to begin today. The CBSE Class 10 term 1 exam will be based on 50 per cent of the curriculum. The question paper will be MCQs based with a duration of 90 minutes.

CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Exam Pattern 2021-22: Know number of questions and total marks

  • CBSE Class 10 question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), including case-based MCQs and MCQs on the assertion-reasoning type.

  • The CBSE Class 10 exam will be held for 90 minutes covering 50% of syllabus.

  • The question paper consists of 60 questions and students will be able to fill their responses on the OMR sheet by darken the correct circle.

  • Due to winter, the CBSE board exam for Class 10 will start at 11:30 am.

  • Students can use only blue & black ballpoint pen for filling in their responses on the OMR sheet and use of pencil will not be allowed.

  • Students need to score a minimum of 33 percent marks to pass the CBSE term 1 exam date 2021 class 10.

  • Students will get 20 minutes to read the question paper instead of 15 minutes.

  • Students will have to go through the internal assessment irrespective of term I and 2 exams. It includes following activities such as three periodic tests, portfolio, practical work, speaking listening activities, project work and subject enrichment activities

  • CBSE term 2 exam will be held in the month of March-April 2022. It will have a mix of case-based, situation-based, open ended- short answer, long answer type questions.
