NEW DELHI: The questions on the history paper of Class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held today, March 29, had mixed questions. The difficulty level of the CBSE 2023 Class 12 history questions, as per experts, was moderate.

Saying that the students were satisfied after taking the history exam, Shruti Bhasin, Senior Faculty at Silverline Prestige School, Ghaziabad said: “The question paper was as per CBSE guidelines. Questions had internal choices as per the board pattern. MCQs were not direct but thought-provoking. Map question was easy.”

Analysing the Class 12 history question paper was easy and all three sets had equal levels of difficulty, Nidhi Saxena, PGT Genesis Global School, Noida said: “MCQs were mostly straightforward. Some questions in the long answer type questions were simple while some required more thinking and deeper knowledge.”

“One of the source-based questions was a bit confusing for the students. Map based questions were also very easy to solve,” she added.

The questions in the 2023 history Class 12 paper were according to the CBSE sample paper. The Class 12 history question paper comprised five sections -- A, B, C, D and E. All the sections were compulsory. While Section A had 21 multiple choice questions, Section B contained six questions carrying three marks each. Section C had three questions with eight marks for each question. Section D contained source-based questions and Section E map-based.
