CBSE Class 10, 12 Result 2023: No toppers, merit list; CBSE explains why

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results today, May 12. CBSE has not announced any CBSE board Class 10 and Class 12 toppers. In addition to not announcing any CBSE 2023 toppers list Class 10 and Class 12, the board has also not issued any merit list this year.

The decision to not announce the CBSE toppers list and CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 merit lists to avoid unhealthy competition among the students, the board said in the CBSE result statement.

The board has also not awarded any first, second or third divisions to its students. CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 merit lists will, however, be issued only to those 0.1 percent of students who have obtained the highest marks in the subjects.

The overall pass percentage of CBSE Class 10 result is 93.12% this year, while it is 87.33% in Class 12. Students will have to enter their roll numbers, school IDs, school numbers and dates of birth on the CBSE results link to download the CBSE Class 10 mark sheet and CBSE Class 12 mark sheet. The CBSE official website to access results is cbseresults.nic.in.

Students unsatisfied with the CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 results will get the opportunity to verify their CBSE 2023 results, apply for revaluation and photocopies of their answer sheets. CBSE will start accepting applications for Class 10 and Class 12 results verification, photocopy, re-evaluation on May 16.
