NEW DELHI: With less time to prepare for the CBSE term 2 exams 2022, CBSE Class 10, 12 students have been demanding to cancel the examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier clarified that there will be no change in the exam pattern for the CBSE Class 10, 12 term 2 board exam. However, students say it's “impossible” to complete 50% syllabus in two months as the CBSE term 2 exams are scheduled to be held in March-April.

The CBSE has bifurcated the syllabus into two terms for this academic year. CBSE term 1 exam for both Class 10, 12 was conducted from November to December 2021 and the board followed multiple-choice questions (MCQ) format. The CBSE term 2, however, will have subjective-type questions.

The CBSE Class 10, 12 term 2 question paper will have different formats such as case-based/ situation based, open-ended- short answer/ long answer type. Term 2 paper will be of 2 hours duration.

'Cancel CBSE Term 2 Exam 2022'

Requesting to cancel CBSE term 2 exams 2022, several students raised concerns about the incomplete syllabus, mental health issues, Covid-19 situation, Omicron cases in India.

A Twitter user said that the board gave 8 months for term 1 which covered 50% syllabus and now only 2 months to cover the rest 50% syllabus.

Addressing CBSE officials, a student said, “I request you to give us at least two more months for our preparation. It is almost impossible for us to complete such vast syllabus in two months and also we don't have access of offline classes. We need your support.”

Another student asked CBSE to provide skill subjects term 2 sample question papers as the examination will be held before the main examination.

Explaining the issues faced by the CBSE board exam students, another user pointed at the shortage of time to complete the syllabus.

“Its not just about Covid-19, CBSE gave us 8 months for objective exam and how can you expect the students to prepare for subjective in only 2 months secondly in online classes there is no concentration and hence we request to cancel board exam,” a student said.

Students have taken to social media to talk about the challenges faced by them and mental health issues.

CBSE Class 12, 10 term 2 exam dates will be announced soon on cbse.nic.in. Class 10, 12 students can download the CBSE board syllabus 2021-22 for each subject from the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.
