Registration process for CLAT 2022 counselling

The registration process consists of two main steps:

Step 1 - Update your NLU preference

Candidates must submit at least five NLU preferences considering all options and their marks and ranks. Updating of preferences will not be possible once submitted. Candidates will be considered for only those NLUs for which they have provided the preference.

Step 2 - Make online payment of Rs.30,000/20,000

  • General category candidates will have to make an online payment of Rs. 30,000 as counselling registration fee. SC/ST/OBC/BC/EWS/PWD candidates have to submit Rs. 20,000 for counselling registration. The fee is adjustable with the NLU course fee.

  • Candidates need to make the payment before the last date. Requests for payments after the last date will not be considered in any circumstances.

  • Candidates who have successfully completed the online registration process for counselling will be considered for seat allotment.

  • Candidates who have not received an invite for the counseling process in the first round may be called during subsequent rounds, in case vacancies arise in that particular category.

After the seat allotment, candidates will have to accept the seat or apply for upgrade/revision. They can also opt for exiting the admission process by exercising the exit option. Candidates who accept the seat or apply for upgrade will have to complete the admission process by submitting the documents and course fee to the allotted NLU.
