NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the December 2022 and June 2023 session exam of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) today, June 6. The CSIR UGC NET 2023 exam today is for candidates enrolled in the life sciences programme.

Candidates who enrolled in chemical sciences and mathematical sciences will be having exams on June 7, and the last exam will be on June 8 for those enrolled for physical sciences and earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences.

The UGC NET CSIR admit cards are already out. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website -- csirnet.nta.nic.in.

The NTA CSIR NET 2023 exams will be held in two shifts. first in the morning session -- 9 am to 12 noon and second in the afternoon session 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates must carry their CSIR UGC NET admit card along with a valid identity proof to the examination hall. The candidate must reach the examination centre by 8 am in the morning and 2 pm in the afternoon. The language of the CSIR 2023 exam will be in Hindi and English language both. Candidates are advised to appear for the language they have opted in the CSIR NET application form 2023.

CSIR NET 2023 Exam Pattern: Life Sciences

  • The exam consists of multiple choice questions.
  • The exam is divided into 3 sections -- section A, B and C
  • There will be a negative marking of 25% on every section.
