NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the Common University Entrance Test – Post Graduate (CUET PG 2023) late night on July 20 for over 4.9 lakh candidates. There is no centralised merit list on the basis of the CUET PG result 2023 but universities will draw up their own lists based on applicants and their NTA scores. The best-known central universities participating in CUET PG have already announced their admission policies for 2023-24 and several have begun registration.
Thirty-nine central universities will admit students on the basis of CUET PG and, according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) the top ones among them are the following:
Here’s how the top central universities participating in CUET PG 2023 will admit students. The Aligarh Muslim University will not conduct admission to its postgraduate programmes through the CUET PG 2023.
The JNU will offer admission to MA, MSc, MCA, MPH, MTech, PG diploma and advanced diploma programmes for academic session 2023-24 through CUET PG 2023. JNU will open online applications at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. That portal isn’t open yet.
JMI will offer admission using CUET PG 2023 to MSc Disaster Management and Climate Sustainability (self finance) and PG Diploma in Disaster Management (self finance) MA Persian, MA (Sanskrit), MA (Educational Planning and Administration). According to the prospectus, Jamia Millia Islamia will display the list of selected “within 20 to 25 days from the date of entrance test”. Most programmes require candidates to have scored at least a 50% at the Bachelor’s level. Candidates would have had to apply on jmicoe.in and enter their CUET PG application number. The rank list will be “based on the final rank of CUET 2023”, says the prospectus.
The BHU offers PG programmes in over 50 courses. The admission to these processes is conducted through CUET PG 2023 scores. The registration process was closed on July 16. However, the registration portal at bhuonline.in will open again for five days for candidates who have registered to enter their CUET PG 2023 scores. The merit list will be drawn up after that.
The university has opened the registration process for 41 PG programmes, including five-year Integrated MSc in mathematical sciences, physics, chemical science, biology, applied geology, optometry, health psychology and others. As per a schedule released earlier, registration and counselling will be over October and November and at acad.uohyd.ac.in.
Delhi University will soon open its admission portal for PG programmes. The postgraduate programmes on offer include MSc, MA, MCom, anthropology, applied psychology, Arabic, Bengali, English and others. Counselling is through the Common Seat Allocation Systems – Postgraduate (CSAS-PG 2023) at admission.uod.ac.in.
A total of 103 private and deemed-to-be universities such as Christ University, Shoolini University, Lovely Professional University (LPU), and others, are also participating in the examination. A total of 10 other government institutes, including Indian Institute Information of Technoloy, IIIT, Lucknow, and Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, IITTM Noida, will also hold admission using the CUET PG 2023 scores.
The NTA has shared the CUET PG result with these universities who will next draw up merit lists and cut-off scores. The eligible candidates will be able to proceed for further admission by verifying their documents and paying the admission fees to reserve their seats.
Each of the top central universities will admit students based on the CUET PG 2023 NTA score. The NTA score will be the aggregate score of the CUET PG 2023 percentile score of each exam session.
