CUET UG 2023: Application process to start soon; Eligibility criteria, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2023) application process. The testing agency will conduct the CUET UG 2023 exam from May 21 to 31, 2023, and the admission process in universities will be completed by July 2023.

Earlier on December 16, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar announced that the application process for the CUET UG will start in the first week of February 2023 and the new academic session will begin on August 1 next year. The admission to undergraduate programmes will be conducted in all central universities through a common entrance test and not on the basis of Class 12 marks.
CUET UG 2023: Eligibility criteria
The candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination or are appearing in Class 12 board exams 2023 can appear in CUET UG 2023. However, the CUET eligibility criteria will vary among courses and universities, so candidates should check the respective university's official website for more information.
CUET UG 2023: Exam pattern
The CUET entrance exam will be held in 13 languages -- Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The CUET UG 2023 exam paper will consist of 140 objective type questions divided in three sections. The section-wise CUET UG exam pattern is provided below.
