Delhi will train Indian contingent to Shanghai World Skills: Arvind Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: The Arvind Kejriwal government will provide world-class training to all winning participants of the India Skills Competition so they can compete and represent India well in the World Skills Competition in Shanghai, China, in 2022.

The state-level competitions had 55 winners in 30 different skill categories. More than 1,000 participated in the competition. The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) will host the national round scheduled for December this year.

“The 55 winners [of the state level competitions] will now be trained for the regional round, and upon qualification, will advance for India Skills scheduled for December 2021 and thereafter, World Skills Shanghai 2022. They stated that they will make India proud with their skills,” said a statement from Delhi Government.

The regional level competition is on November 11 and winners of the state level competition will be given training. The event was a success with 11 sector skills councils, 51 jury members and 12 venue partners.

The deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia interacted with all the winners of the state competition and promised them assistance with further competitions.

Sisodia said, “The Kejriwal government would provide world class training to all the participants representing the country in the Shanghai World Skills Competition to be held in 2022. These participants will win in Shanghai and will bring laurels to the country and Delhi.”
