Students need to score equal to or above these cut-offs to secure a seat in the DU colleges. For admission, a student's marks in "best-four subjects" are considered. The relevant score is an average of the scores the student has done best in. The four must include the score in English.

While the board exams were cancelled in the state due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Seconday Education (CBSE) and other boards declared Class 12 board results 2021 on the basis of an alternate evaluation criteria.

CBSE announced Class 12 board results on July 30 and this year, the results have been high with many students securing higher marks as compared to the previous year.
