NEW DELHI: University of Delhi (DU) has announced the addition of a new feature on the candidates and university’s dashboard on the DU admission website. The "college-programme wise preference count" allows candidates to view the number of candidates who have opted for any particular course.

The view count will be updated every two hours for applicants to get quick data, this information can be used in making their own decision and assess their own chances. “Candidates are advised to keep referring to this window and make informed choices as per their preferences.” said the DU statement.

The university states that not all candidates applying for an admission on the DU website use the provisions that are made available to them. Delhi University has advised its applicants to “select the maximum number of programmes and college combinations to facilitate their probability of getting allocations as per the common seat allocation system (CSAS) rules".
