Ahead of DUSU Election 2023 result, Delhi police issues traffic advisory
DUSU Elections 2023: Counting is underway. The Delhi University Students' Union election 2023 was held after four years.
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election 2023 result declaration. Counting of votes began in the north campus, University of Delhi, at 8 AM today.

The Delhi traffic police advised commuters to avoid routes near Delhi University area. Chhatra Marg is completely closed for all motorists. The police informed that commercial vehicles will not be allowed in the university area.
The DUSU poll held to elect the main student representative body is held annually. However, DU Students’ Union election 2023 was held on Saturday after four years. The university did not conduct the elections after 2019 due to COVID-19 pandemic and academic disruptions.

Today on dated 23.09.2023, counting of votes regarding DUSU election is to be held in North Campus, Delhi University.
Commuters are advised to avoid following route for better convenience.

The ABVP, NSUI, CPI(M)-backed Students' Federation of India (SFI) and the CPI(ML)-Liberation-linked All India Students' Association (AISA) have filed nominations for four posts - president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary.
Students cast their vote in 52 DU colleges and departments on Friday. The chief election officer for the polls said that DU recorded a voter turnout of 42 percent, the PTI reported. Around one lakh students were eligible to vote.
Only candidates who submitted form on DU website, du.ac.in, on or before September 22 by 4 PM will be given gate pass to enter the counting hall.
