NEW DELHI: The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) has introduced a gamified entrance exam in the GITAM GAT to test logical reasoning and English language skills. The first such test was conducted across all GITAM campuses in Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and GIMSR in March 2023. 8,000 students participated in the test and the number is expected to increase in the next academic years, under phase 2 and 3 of development.

The entrance exam tested fields such as language, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and decision making abilities. It was taken in real-time to make the exam more engaging, reduce stress and exam anxiety, and increase accuracy. System generated questions were created separately for each student to avoid manipulation and plagiarism errors. The students were asked to solve 30 questions in 50 minutes.
