Guru Nanak Dev University to host Y20 consultation summit
Guru Nanak Dev University will be hosting Y20 summit to discuss agri-tech and food security, emerging global job opportunities.
AMRITSAR: The Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) is set to host the Youth 20 consultation summit on Tuesday, as part of the engagement groups under the G20 umbrella.
The key points to be discussed by experts during this summit include agritech and food security, emerging global job opportunities through international relations, research in nanotechnology, and material science and the creation of a skilled workforce for a sustainable built environment in the real estate market, said Hardeep Singh, the nodal officer of the Y20 summit.
During this mega event, there would be different panel discussions will be held with panellists of national and international repute interacting with the youth on March 14, 15 and 16, according to a statement. Some of the panellists have already reached the University campus.
Y20 is one of the eight groups under the G20. Every year, the country holding the presidency are responsible of hosting such events weeks prior to understand what the youth think and try to incorporate their suggestion into policy proposals. This aims to create connection between the G20 governments and the local youth. The Y20 India summit in 2023 will provide the India' with an opportunity to showcase its values and policy measures to the youth across the globe.
