Himachal Pradesh SCERT extends NMMSS registration date; apply by September 25

NMMSS Exam 2023: The scholarship exam for Class 8 students will be conducted on November 26.

NEW DELHI: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Himachal Pradesh has extended the online application date of the National Means cum Merit Scholarship examination (NMMSS) 2023-24 till September 25 up to 11.59 pm.

The online application verification will be done by the respective school principals and headmasters for the NMMSS examination till September 25. Eligible students can register themselves at nmcme.examtime.co.in.

The NMMSS examination for the session 2023-24 will be conducted on November 26 for the students studying in Class 8 in 57 exam centres across the state for all the government schools like GMSs, GHSs, and GSSSs of Himachal Pradesh.

An official statement from the SCERT read, “ It is brought to your kind notice that in view of unprecedented weather conditions which have caused great havoc to connectivity the last date for online applying for NMMSS Examination 2023-24 to be held on 26" November 2023 for the students studying in Class VIII for all GMSs/GHSs/GSSSs of Himachal Pradesh in current year i.e. 2023-24 has been extended so that maximum students can be benefitted.”

Under the ‘National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme’, scholarships are awarded to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their dropout at Class 8 and encourage them to continue their education at secondary stage.
