IIM Calcutta, Times Professional Learning launches SURGE programme for entrepreneurs

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta’s innovation park (IIMCIP), along with the Second Wind, Times Professional Learning (TPL) have launched an entrepreneurial programme called Start-Up Readiness, Growth and Execution (SURGE) to provide guidance to entrepreneurs to build, manage, and scale up their organisations.

According to a statement from IIM Calcutta, the SURGE programme which spans over a nine-month duration aims to familiarise learners with essential management tools for entrepreneurs, managing early growth, navigating the unexpected, among others. The IIM Calcutta SURGE programme has been designed for individuals aiming to start a new venture and those already running a venture. Learners who complete the programme are entitled to IIM Calcutta executive education alumni status.

The IIM Calcutta SURGE programme includes lectures, case studies, project work, guest sessions by practitioners, among others. Those who enrol on the programme are supposed to submit a capstone project by the end of the programme. As part of the course, learners can visit the campus for three days at the end of the programme.
