IIM Udaipur witnessed 100% placement for the MBA batch 2019-21, where students completed their summer internship by working from home owing to the spread of COVID 19.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur (IIM-U) has released the summer internship placement report for the two-year MBA program of batch 2019-2021. As per the placement report, 77 recruiters participated in the IIM Udaipur summer placement and 283 students got placed. As a result of the lockdown imposed by the Indian Government to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, the recruiters asked the students to work from home (WFH).
The Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector emerged to offer the largest number of internships followed by the manufacturing/ engineering/ energy sector. The majority of the internship roles were offered in the sales and marketing, and business development function followed by operations/ supply chain management (SCM). As part of this, students will be given a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month and will be supported by institute & corporate mentors throughout the process.

** To ensure that no good internship opportunity is lost due to project sanction constraints from the company's end/ budgetary, IIM-U provides sustenance allowance up to Rs 10,000 for the internship period in cases where the company does not provide a stipend to the students.

The students interested in placement apply to the companies by submitting their applications along with their resumes through the Student Recruitment Committee (SRC). The selection process usually consists of shortlisting candidates based on the application and one or more personal interview rounds.
