NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur has got an overwhelming response for its newly launched online Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration for Working Executives (PGDBA-WE) programme with about 67 students enrolling for the course. The twenty-month programme is designed for working executives with a minimum of three years of work experience. It aims to improve the performance of the learners and help in their career growth by expanding their knowledge of business management in depth, claims the institute.

According to a statement from IIMU, the PGDBA WE course was earlier launched by IIMU in an on-campus mode, but later made it online due to the demand from aspirants. The classes will be held online on weekends and it also includes two on-campus modules for a duration of one week. IIM Udaipur faculties will guide the learners throughout the programme. "The professionals who are taking up this course come from ace companies like Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Zinc, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, Schneider, etc.," it said.

The selection to the IIM Udaipur PGDBA WE programme was done by assessing the scores secured by the candidates in exams such as Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Common Admission Test (CAT) and the examination conducted by IIM Udaipur, together with the performance in the personal interview it conducted.

The course will include seminars, simulations, games, role-plays, guest lectures, and group activities. The participants will learn to adapt, negotiate, and solve problems. The course aims to develop the interpersonal and communication abilities of the learners.
