Indian Institutes of Technology will hold discussion on topics such as joining dates, streamlining placement process, training and skill development.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna will host the 37th All IITs Placement Committee (AIPC) meet on September 23. Several representatives of placement and career development cells of 23 IITs of the country, including IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Mandi will attend meeting
This is the first time that IIT Patna is organising such an inter-IIT event. The IITs will discuss various issues related to the placement of the 2024 batch and better employability of the students will be discussed in depth, the IIT Patna said.
“Along with this, key points like ongoing layoffs in industries, differ joining dates, streamlining the placement process, training and skill development, AIPC's guidelines for the industry, increasing job opportunities will be discussed,” the IIT Patna said.
The 37th All IITs Placement Committee (AIPC) meeting consists of three separate sessions. The Indian Institute of Technology Patna will also organise a tour to the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage sites of Patna and Bihar. Apart from this, it would be showcasing its infrastructure and facilities to all these representatives from all IITs. The IIT Patna said it is expecting to put the institute in the spotlight for the recruiters who are planning to attend the placement from IITs for this session and next year.
This year, the IIT Patna engineering students received over 400 job offers. The BTech students were offered an average package of 23.09 Lakh per annum while the maximum package was 82.05 lakh per annum.
