IIT Roorkee, WileyNXT launch PG certificate course in cloud computing and devops

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee and WileyNXT, Wiley’s learning platform, have launched WileyNXT’s first-ever postgraduate certificate programme in cloud computing and devops. The programme will help learners hone their skills and kick start their career in cloud computing and related fields.

The last day to apply to the PG certificate programme designed by IIT Roorkee faculty is August 25 and the duration is seven months. The first batch of the programme will commence on September 12.

“Early-stage professionals having at least two years of experience, with knowledge of computer systems, programming and debugging, and proficiency in a minimum of one language, are eligible for this program,” said a WileyNXT statement.

According to the statement, the pandemic situation has led businesses to invest heavily in cloud infrastructure and resulted in an increase in demand for cloud and devops professionals.

WileyNXT, in collaboration with IIT Roorkee, already offers post graduate certification programmes in artificial intelligence for banking, financial services and insurance; digital business and e-commerce.

Sateesh Kumar Peddoju, department of computer science and engineering, IIT Roorkee said: “Cloud computing and devops has witnessed a steady increase in its demand across workplaces and industries...To cater to this demand, it is extremely critical to train aspiring candidates and learners so that they are ready to conquer the workplaces of the future. We are extremely happy to launch this new programme in our collaboration with WileyNXT.”

On successful completion of the course, the students will gain a joint certificate by IIT Roorkee and Wiley.
