NEW DELHI: JAIN Online, the e-learning arm of JAIN (deemed-to-be-university) welcomed its first batch of students on November 27, 2021. The inaugural batch has a roll-strength of 15,000, said a statement issued by the institution. JAIN Online offers undergraduate and postgraduate online degree programmes recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The students are offered six online degree programmes including BCom, BBA, MCom, MBA, MCA and MA with more than 70 electives.

“JAIN Online aims to reach a student-base of one million in the next 5 years,” says the press statement. JAIN Online teaches through its own learning management system. Students can learn with videos, self-learning materials, virtual labs, assignments, quizzes, discussion forums and live classes over the weekends, said the statement.

Students who are from the United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ghana, Tanzania and Namibia have joined the batch. The platform will also include lectures from global instructors who are experts in their fields, said a statement issued by them.
