NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 exam date. To apply for JEE Mains 2022, aspirants must have Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry in 10+2. All these subjects are important, however, most students find Chemistry easy as compared to Mathematics and Physics. The questions asked in the JEE Main 2022 Chemistry section are theoretical, rather than calculative. This makes it easier to score well in the exam.

JEE Main 2022: Important Topics to Cover for Chemistry Section

  • The best strategy to prepare well for the JEE Mains 2022 Chemistry section is to analyze the past few years’ IIT JEE question papers and strengthen all the concepts accordingly.

  • Mole concept is one of the most important concepts in physical chemistry and to develop a strong understanding of it, aspirants need to have a strong hold on it. Several questions in JEE Main 2022 are based on mole concept hence, aspirants must have a firm command of these concepts.

  • Based on past year analysis, 2 to 3 questions are generally asked from atomic structure, apart from these, the other topics on which the chemistry section of JEE Main exam is based are Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, etc. All these questions have equal weightage on the Chemistry section of the JEE Main exam. Aspirants must also refer to other topics from Inorganic Chemistry to score more.

  • In the Chemistry section of the JEE Main 2022 exam several conceptual questions are also asked from s, p, d and f-block elements. Aspirants preparing for the JEE Mains 2022 exam must understand it through visualization so that the complex properties and compositions can be understood easily.

  • Along with Inorganic Chemistry, aspirants must also give equal importance to Organic Chemistry. This section of the NTA JEE Main question paper is said equally easy as compared to the Inorganic

  • The entire portion of organic chemistry could be easily understood if you are well versed with the general topics such as type of reactions, electrophiles, basicity, nucleophiles, acidity, etc. One more section in organic chemistry is named reactions. Aspirants must know all these named reactions along with their mechanisms to easily solve similar types of problems asked in the question paper.

  • Organic synthesis is one of the important and conceptual aspects of organic chemistry and each year 2 to 3 questions are based on it. Aspirants will have to write certain steps to synthesize any particular compound by the provided set of reagents and also about missing chemicals in any particular step of the synthesis.
