NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2023) session 1 day 2 exam today, January 25. The JEE Main exam will be held in two shifts- from 9 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates must report at the examination centre two hours before the commencement of exam. Candidates are not allowed to carry anything inside the examination hall except JEE Main admit card 2023, self-declaration slip (undertaking), a valid photo ID proof and a transparent ball point Pen. All guidelines as released by NTA earlier were followed for safety of the exam takers.

JEE Main 2023: Things to do

1. Candidates must check the reporting time at the centre, gate closing time, exam shift and timings as indicated on the JEE Main admit card.

2. Students should avoid carrying any of the barred items including digital watches or smartwatches, wristwatches, bracelets, cameras, ornaments, metallic items, Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, etc.

3. Candidates must show, on-demand, the JEE Main admit card downloaded/printed from the NTA website for admission in the examination room.

4. A seat indicating JEE Main roll number will be allotted to each candidate. Aspirants should find and sit in their allocated seats only.

5. All calculations/writing work is to be done only in the rough sheet provided inside the examination hall and on completion of the test, candidates must hand over it to the Invigilator.

JEE Main 2023: Things to avoid

1. If a candidate failed to appear on the scheduled date or time of the test for any reason, no re-test will be conducted by the NTA under any circumstances.

2. Carrying any item or article which has been prohibited or can be used for unfair practices, or any other material or information relevant or not relevant to the examination in the paper concerned.

3. Impersonating someone in order to write the examination or preparing material for copying.

4. Intimidating or threatening any official involved in the examination process or any candidate.

5. The NTA may declare any other malpractices to be unfair means.
