NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) held the shift-2 of Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) paper-1 in BTech and BE today from 3 PM to 6 PM. The paper was for 300 marks in total. JEE Main 2023 January 30 shift 2 section-wise difficulty level

"In terms of order of difficulty– Math was Moderately Tough while Physics was Easy to Moderate Level, while Chemistry was Easy. Overall, this paper was Moderate level as per students," said FITJEE Noida, head, Ramesh Batlish.

  • Mathematics - There were more questions from class 11. Topics such as 3D, vector, integration were covered. Both MCQs and numerical based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was Lengthy & Tricky as per few students.
  • Physics - Questions from modern physics, semiconductor optics and EM waves were asked. Numerical based questions were reported as Easy. This section was balanced overall.
  • Chemistry- IOC, periodic table, chemical bonding, qualitative analysis were covered. Physical Chemistry was given more weightage in Numerical Section as compared to Organic & Inorganic Chemistry.
