NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023) session 1 exam will be held today, January 30. The engineering entrance exam will be held in two shifts; morning shift from 9 am to 12 pm, and the afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam in 290 cities across the country and 18 cities outside India. JEE Main January 31 Live Updates

The testing agency has already issued the JEE Main admit card of aspirants for January 30 exam. The candidates have already been intimated about their JEE Main exam city, date of exam and shift timing on January 18. The entrance exam for January 24, 25, 28 and 29, 2023 has already been conducted successfully. Candidates are suggested to report on time at the examination centre and maintain decorum for the smooth conduct of the exam.

JEE Main 2023 Session 1: Things to carry inside exam hall

  • JEE Main session 1 admit card along with undertaking
  • One passport size photograph. The photo must be same as uploaded with the online application form.
  • A valid Photo ID Proof in original.
  • Transparent ballpoint pen.
  • Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
  • Transparent water bottle.
  • Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.

JEE Main 2023 Session 1: Things not allowed

  • Candidates should avoid wearing shoes or footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
  • In case the aspirant is wearing any specific attire due to religious reasons must report to the exam centre early for mandatory frisking.
  • Any metallic objects, handbags, gadgets, electronic items or communication devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
  • They are also not allowed to wear jewellery ornaments.

JEE Main 2023 Session 1: Key points

  • Candidates must reach the examination centre two hours before the commencement of exam.
  • The students must carry one valid photo ID along with the JEE Main session 1 admit card at the examination centre.
  • Candidates must adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines before and during the exam.
  • Aspirants will be provided with rough sheets and other writing materials at the exam center.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination before the exam conclusion time.
