NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) session 1 exam will end today, February 1. The JEE Mains 2023 exam today will be held for the BE and BTech papers in two shifts -- 9 am and 3 pm. Both shifts will be held for three hours’ duration. The JEE Main 2023 exam started on January 24. As part of NTA JEE Mains 2023 guidelines, candidates appearing for the test will have to mandatorily carry the IIT JEE Main hall ticket downloaded from jeemain.nta.nic.in, duly-filled self-declaration form JEE Main and a passport sized photograph (same as the one pasted on the JEE Main application number). The JEE Main 2023 gate closing time is 8:30 am for the morning shift and 2:30 pm for the second shift.

JEE Main 2023: Things to carry

  • Carry the JEE Main 2023 admit card
  • Take any one of the original and valid photo identification proof. A valid photo id proof maybe school identity card, PAN card, driving license, voter id, passport, aadhaar card with photograph, e-aadhaar with photograph, ration card with photograph, Class 12 board exam admit card with photograph or bank passbook with photograph
  • Carry a ball point pen
  • Submit the JEE Mains hall ticket and rough pads after the end of exam
  • Take water in transparent bottle
  • Candidates can also carry sugar tablets and fruits like banana, apple or orange in case the candidate is diabetic
  • Candidates will have to carry scribe certificate, if applicable

JEE Mains 2023: Key points, dress code

There is no specific JEE Main 2023 dress code. However, candidates will have to follow these:

  • Candidates should avoid wearing shoes or footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
  • In case the aspirant is wearing any specific attire due to religious reasons must report to the exam centre early for mandatory frisking.
  • Any metallic objects, handbags, gadgets, electronic items or communication devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

They are also not allowed to wear jewellery ornaments.
