NEW DELHI: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the counselling process for admissions into the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India. The counselling is held based on JEE Main scores. JoSAA releases JEE Main cut-offs every year. Candidates can check the previous year cut-offs here.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the JEE Main 2023 session-2 on April 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12. The JEE Main April session registrations closed on March 12, 2023. After the JEE Main exam concludes, the students will go through the counselling process to get into NITs as per the JEE Main rank secured.

The following are the JEE Main 2022 cut-offs for gender-neutral open seats after six rounds of JoSAA counselling last year. NIT Rourkela highest closing rank at 12655 while NIT Manipur has the lowest closing rank at 44759.

For admission into NITs, 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates from within the state in which the NIT is located in. Meanwhile, the remaining are for those from other states. Generally, in the case of open and unreserved seats, students from outside the state will require higher ranks or NTA scores.
