NEW DELHI: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will start conducting the second Pre-University Certificate (PUC) exams from today, March 9 across 1,109 examination centers in the state. The 2nd PUC Karnataka board exams will begin with the Kannada and Arabic papers today followed by mathematics, education on March 11. The PUC 2nd exams will get over with sociology, electronics and computer science exam on March 29. Students will have to carry with them the admit cards to the exam hall. As many as 7,26,195 students have registered for the exam.

Wishing the students good luck, school education minister BC Nagesh said: "The second PUC examination will be held from March 9 across 1,109 examination centers in the state. A total of 7,26,195 students have registered for the exam. Necessary arrangements have been made by the department to conduct the examination smoothly. Good luck to all the students who are writing the exam."

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will offer free bus services to ferry students from their residences to colleges on the days of PUC 2023 exams. The students can avail of the free service on the production of their exam hall ticket or Karnataka PUC admission tickets.
The Karnataka unit of the Congress has also withdrawn the two-hour-long bandh it had called, as part of its fight against alleged corruption by the ruling BJP.
