KV at IIT Bhubaneswar will help local students achieve their dreams: Dharmendra Pradhan

In IIT Bhubaneswar’s new KV school, students will be enrolled in Classes 1 to 5 and classes will be held in temporary classrooms for the 2022-23 session.

NEW DELHI: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar today, June 11, 2022.

“Inauguration of Kendriya Vidyalaya at IIT Bhubaneswar campus,” Pradhan said in a tweet.

Tweeting in Odia language, he said, “I paid homage to the construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya on the premises of IIT campus, Bhubaneswar, the highest temple of education. The school will play a key role in helping students in the local area achieve their dreams of a brighter future by providing quality education.”

After the construction of the Kendriya Vidyalaya's permanent classroom, students will have the opportunity to study. The school will begin classes on the recommendation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's visionary national education policy, Pradhan said.

IIT Bhubaneswar is a prestigious institution in the field of higher education. In a conducive environment, students at Kendriya Vidyalaya will be interested in reading and learning about the use of technology. They will dream of former President and great scientist Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Modi, the minister said about KV students.

“I was fortunate enough to inaugurate the temporary classrooms of the new Kendriya Vidyalaya in IIT Bhubaneswar, located at the foot of the Barunei Hills. From the current academic year, classes will be held in this temporary house with enrollment of students from first to fifth grade,” the education minister added.

Dharmendra Pradhan also informed that PM Sri Schools will be set up across India, including Odisha, to prepare students for the future. The Government of India will support the establishment of this school in the old school, not the new school, he said.

More Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navadaya and Eklavya Vidyalayas will be set up under the direct supervision of the Modi government to provide quality education to the students of Odisha. The overall education plan will cost Rs 3 lakh crore over the next four years and will improve the quality of education in the country, including Odisha, he said.
