Madhya Pradesh issues schedule for weaker section students' admission in private schools

Students can apply for the admission process under the RTE in unaided private schools at educationportal.mp.gov.in/rte.

NEW DELHI: The Madhya Pradesh State Education Centre has released the timetable for online free admission of children from weaker sections and deprived groups in non-aided recognised private schools under the Right to Education Act for the academic session 2024-25. Students will be able to apply for the admission on the official website, educationportal.mp.gov.in/rte from February 23 to March 3.

Option for error correction will be available on the portal. After online application, applicants will be able to download the acknowledgment and get the original documents verified in the allotted centres from February 24 to March 5.

As per the RTE, schools will be allotted to the applicants by organising an online lottery through a transparent random method on March 7. Applicants will be informed about the process through SMS on their registered mobile phone numbers. Applicants selected in the lottery will be able to get admission in the allotted school by downloading the allotment letter from March 11 to March 19.

At the time of taking admission, a report will also be filed by the private school concerned through a mobile application.

Phase 2 dates

As soon as the process of the first phase is over, the second phase of admission will start. Vacant seats for the second phase will be displayed on the portal on March 21. In the second phase, the choice of schools can be updated from March 22 to 26. The second phase of online lottery will be held on March 28.

In the second phase, applicants selected through lottery will be able to download the allotment letter between March 30 and April 5. The State Education Center has issued instructions to all the District Collectors to complete this work within the stipulated time in a completely transparent manner as per the rules.
