NEW DELHI: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has extended the registration deadline for Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2024 without late fees till March 8. Candidates seeking admission into professional courses such as engineering, technology, pharmacy, planning and agricultural education can register for MHT CET 2024 through the official website,

According to the official schedule, the examination for Engineering will be conducted from April 25 and April 30 and the entrance exam for Pharmacy courses will be held from April 16 to 23, 2024. The exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode in two shifts – 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm.

The application fee is Rs 1,000 for general category candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), and J & K Migrant candidates. While for reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, EWSPerson with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only the application fee is Rs 800.

MHT CET 2024 exam pattern

In MHT CET 2024, 20% weightage will be given to the questions from the class 11 syllabus, and 80% weightage to the questions from the class 12 syllabus while setting the question paper. Each paper will be of 100 marks and the duration will be 90 minutes. Candidates will be given additional 15 minutes to read the instructions. Candidates will be allowed after 8:45 am in the morning shift and 1:45 pm in the afternoon shift under any circumstances.

Candidates must have passed or appearing in Class 12 with Physic and Mathematics along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, IT, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies or have Diploma in Engineering and Technology. Apart from this, candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in class 12 (40% for reserved category).
