NLU Delhi invites applications for diploma in insolvency and bankruptcy

NEW DELHI: National Law University (NLU) Delhi’s Centre for Transnational Commercial Law (CTCL) is inviting applications for its flagship Diploma Course on “Insolvency and Bankruptcy: Law and Practice” (DIB). Interested candidates can register for the course on the official website of NLU Delhi – nludelhi.ac.in. The last date to apply has been extended till August 1, 2022. The duration of the post graduate diploma is 1 year, from August 2022 to July 2023.

"This course aims to introduce legal and secretarial practitioners and academicians to the insolvency laws in India as conceptualized within the larger family of commercial laws. The course is beneficial for not only students and academicians but also professionals and stakeholders working in the areas of tax, revenue and law," said an official statement from NLU Delhi.

Who can apply

• Government officials in the areas of tax, revenue and law
• In-house counsel of PSUs
• Working Professionals like CA, CS, CMA, MBA, bankers, insolvency practitioners, consultants, lawyers, stakeholders in insolvency proceedings including creditors and corporate debtors
• Academicians in law, finance, economics, business and management studies;
• Students in post-graduate and doctoral courses in any discipline
• Students of graduate course in any discipline (For law course, student must be studying in the 3rd year of 3-year LLB degree course, or 4th, 5th year of 5-year integrated BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB).

Professor M S Sahoo, Former Chairperson, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, Distinguished Professor, NLU Delhi, serves as the mentor for the course and Dr Risham Garg, Associate Professor of Law, Director, Centre for Transnational Commercial Law, National Law University Delhi is the director of the course.

The course will include live lectures, discussion forum or asynchronous mentoring, recorded audio and video, e-learning material and self-study hours including assessment. Majority of lectures shall be delivered by leading industry practitioners.
