NEW DELHI: NorthCap University has launched an initiative called COVID Emergency Aid for Students Education (CEASE) that offers financial assistance to existing NCU undergraduate and graduate students who have lost an earning parent to COVID-19 this year. The university has kept a corpus of Rs 50 lakh for this purpose.

Students who match the required criteria can apply for this relief fund by filling the application form. Once candidates have filled the application form, they need to submit the application along with the relevant supporting documents. The CEASE has been created to help all such students and ensure that their learning is not impacted.

The NorthCap University has also created a committee which will be responsible for reviewing all financial aid applications and will also finalise the list of beneficiaries. The university will start granting the benefits of financial aid from the academic year 2021-22 till the recipient students graduate from their existing programme.

NorthCap University was established in 1996 and it offers UG and PG courses in various streams such as engineering, law, applied sciences and management and liberal studies.
