NEET 2021: NTA issues important notice; UG counselling soon at mcc.nic.in
NEET 2021 Counselling to start soon at mcc.nic.in. The NTA has clarified on state quota counselling, provided details on how to apply for the NEET counselling.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important notice for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2021. An all India merit list has been prepared in percentile determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the NEET UG 2021 for admission to MBBS/BDS courses, the NTA said. The agency has clarified on state quota counselling and All India Quota (AIQ) in the notice.

“Candidates submitted their category as per National Category List and based on the same the result has been declared. NTA has provided All India Rank to the candidates and the admitting Authorities will draw a merit list based on All India Rank for the seats of MBBS/BDS falling under their jurisdiction, “ the official notice said.
The NTA has asked candidates applying to their state to mention their category as per the state category list. It also requested the State Counselling Authorities to make the state NEET counselling merit list 2021 accordingly. The same is the case with the domicile.
“The NTA has no role in it and no change in any data will be made by the NTA,” it added.
“The qualified candidates have to further complete the formalities with the respective counselling authorities viz DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS courses,” the notice further read.
The NTA further instructed that during NEET counselling, the eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates have to be verified as per norms specified by the respective authorities and/or medical or dental colleges.
"The NTA does not have any responsibility towards the correctness/genuinity of the uploaded information/documents during the application process," it clarified.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting the NEET 2021 counselling for qualified candidates seeking admission to government medical and dental colleges for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER. NEET 2021 counselling date and schedule will be soon announced at mcc.nic.in.
