NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has started the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS 2023). Candidates will be able to submit the NEET MDS 2023 application from today on the official website, nbe.edu.in.

The last date to submit the NEET MDS application is January 30, 2023. Medical aspirants who successfully complete the payment will be able to edit the application forms from February 2 to 5, 2023.

NEET MDS 2023 admit card will be issued to the applicants on February 22, 2023. Candidates who complete the internship by March 31 will be eligible to appear in the exam. After the announcement of the MBBS internship cut-off date, students have started requesting for an extension on the last date. NEET MDS exam date is March 1.

NEET MDS 2023: Eligibility

The NBE announced the eligibility criteria for admission to the MDS course in medical colleges in India along with the NEET MDS 2023 exam date.

  • Candidates must have a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council.
  • Must have undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an recognised dental college.
  • Candidates who after passing the final qualifying examination is undergoing 12-month compulsory rotatory internship/ practical training and is likely to complete the same by March 31, 2023, will be eligible.
  • No condonation of internship of 12 months period shall be accepted except the students of the batch admitted during academic session 2007-08 and have completed four and a half year BDS course alongwith six months compulsory rotating internship.
  • And, the students admitted during the academic session 2006-07 at Rajah Muthiah Dental College, Annamalai University who have completed 5 years BDS course without internship are also exempted.

“Requests for appearing in NEET-MDS 2023 from candidates completing internship after 31st March 2023 or having qualifications that are not recognized as per Dentists Act shall be summarily rejected,” the NEET MDS information bulletin read.

How to fill NEET MDS 2023 application

Candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the NEET MDS application form 2023.

  • Visit the NBE official website, nbe.edu.in.
  • Click on NEET MDS on the homepage.
  • Now, click on the “NEET MDS 2023 application link”
  • Register by entering basic information.
  • Now login using the credentials generated and fill the form.
  • Upload required documents as per the specified format.
  • Review the application and submit.
