NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced round one result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate - NEET PG counselling on January 22, 2022. A total of 18,218 candidates have been allotted colleges through NEET PG counselling 2021. The shortlisted aspirants need to report at the allotted colleges as per the NEET PG 2021 counselling schedule.

As per MCC schedule, medical graduates who are included in the NEET PG seat allotment list need to report at the allotted colleges from January 23 to 28, 2022. MCC has released the NEET PG 2021 seat allotment letters for shortlisted candidates on the official portal - mcc.nic.in.

NEET PG counselling 2021: Hybrid mode of reporting

As per the NEET PG 2021 counselling latest update, keeping in view the COVID, MCC has decided to allow candidates to report to the allotted colleges in hybrid mode. Candidates who have been allotted seats by MCC in NEET PG Counselling can report in both online or offline mode at the allotted college.

Candidates who have opted for online reporting need to send a confirmatory mail accepting the seat along with scanned documents for verification. However, aspirants who wish to upgrade their MD, MS or PG Diploma seats have to report physically.

Aspirants will have to pay the complete tuition fee to secure their seat allotted during NEET PG rank-wise seat allotment. The documents required by the candidates at the time of NEET PG admission are mentioned below:

  • NEET PG admit card

  • NEET PG result

  • Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS professional examinations

  • MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate

  • Internship Completion Certificate

  • NMC issued registration certificate

  • High school/higher secondary certificate/birth certificate as proof of birth date

  • Valid ID proof

  • Caste Certificate, if applicable

  • Disability Certificate, if applicable

What after NEET PG counselling round 1?

As round 1 result of NEET PG 2021 counselling has been released, aspirants can check the further process below.

  • Free exit: If a candidate does not report to the allotted institute within the stipulated time. The seat allotted in the first round of MCC NEET PG counselling will be cancelled. Such an option is referred to as ‘free exit.’

  • Accepting the seat allotted in round one: If a candidate who has been allotted a seat in the first round of NEET PG 2021 counselling is satisfied with the allotted seat they can report to the allotted institute and secure their seat by paying a tuition fee.

  • Upgradation in round 2: If a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can opt for up-gradation and participate in the second round of NEET PG counselling 2021. However, in case the seat is not upgraded during the second round, the seat allotted to the candidate in NEET PG counselling round one will be retained.
