NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET 2021 counselling brochure at mcc.nic.in. The NEET UG counselling brochure mentions the seat allotment scheme for 15% All India Quota (AIQ), deemed/central universities, ESIC, AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER and BSc Nursing.

As per the MCC NEET counselling 2021 brochure, the BSc Nursing admissions in some central institutions will be done through NEET results. NEET counselling for BSc Nursing will be held in five rounds - round 1, round 2, mop-up, stray vacancy and 2nd mop-up round. The rules of conducting NEET counselling 2021 for BSc Nursing will be the same as BDS counselling.

For admission to BSc Nursing through NEET 2021 scores, candidates need to register themselves at mcc.nic.in. During the registration process, they have to fill their choices of colleges in which they wish to get admission. Based on these choices filled, seats available, NEET-UG result, reservation criteria and other factors, the BSc Nursing admission will be granted.

NEET counselling 2021 - BSc Nursing eligibility criteria

Candidates must fulfill the basic BSc Nursing eligibility criteria for NEET 2021 counselling as follows:

  • Students must qualify the medical entrance exam by securing NEET cut-off percentile for general, SC, ST, OBC

  • The 85% state quota eligibility conditions is only applicable for the colleges in Delhi

  • Aspirants should have passed Class 12 with physics, chemistry, biology and English as compulsory subjects

BSc Nursing NEET 2021 counselling - Reservation criteria

The central government reservation policy will be followed for BSc Nursing admissions. As per the reservation policy of NEET counselling for BSc Nursing, 15% will be reserved for SC candidates, while 7.5% for ST students. 27% and 10% reservation will done for OBC and EWS category candidates, respectively.

The reservation policy also mentions that there will be certain seats reserved for CW candidates in central nursing institutes. Aspirants are advised to check the NEET eligibility for BSc Nursing from the website of the respective colleges.
