NEW DELHI, AUGUST 22: National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule of Delhi University entrance test 2020 and other important admission events for academic year 2020-21. Candidates who wish to take admissions in entrance based UG and PG programmes of Delhi University will be offered a seat based on their performance in DUET 2020. The registration of DUET 2020 will commence from March 2. The mode of application will be online. Candidates who wish to appear in the entrance test can register themselves and can fill DU application form 2020 before March 31. The admit card of DUET 2020 will be released on April 30 for the candidates who will successfully register themselves for the entrance test.

DUET 2020 will be conducted from June 2 to June 9, 2020 in various exam centres around the country. The dates of entrance examination will vary depending upon the various UG and PG courses.The results of DUET 2019 will be announced on June 25 both in the official website of Delhi University and NTA.

After facing multiple protests by student bodies and delay in admission process, the admission committee of Delhi University finally proposed an offer to NTA for conducting the Delhi University. The proposal was given a green light by the agency after a series of meetings held between admission committee and NTA officials. Until the year 2018, the entrance test was conducted by the university itself.

For the academic session 2019-20, a total of 1,31,119 applicants successfully registered themselves for DUET 2019 PG programmes and 2,58,388 paid applications were received for UG admissions (including DUET UG 2019 applications). The entrance examination was conducted from July 3 to July 8.

About DUET

Delhi University offers admissions into PG courses and few UG courses with the help of an entrance test known as DUET conducted by NTA. The computer based entrance examination will be conducted for the duration of two hours. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded with four marks, whereas for every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted. After the commencement of the entrance examination, the results are announced by the university followed by maximum five admission list. The final selection of candidates is done after the completion of document verification process.
