IIM Nagpur collaborates with Japanese University

NEW DELHI- Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has inked an agreement with Chuo University, Graduate School of Strategic Management, Japan with an aim to increase collaboration in the sphere of research, higher education and management.

Areas of Collaboration between the two institutes

With the signing of the agreement, there will now be collaboration between IIM Nagpur and Chuo University in the sphere of research on contemporary issues as well as student, faculty and cultural exchange will also take place.

The other spheres where the two institutes will focus are entrepreneurship, managerial and administrative issues, management of technology etc. With the signing of the agreement, there will be academic exchanges with other Japanese universities.

Importance of Collaboration

Speaking about the collaboration, Prof L S Murty, Director, IIM Nagpur stated that collaboration with the top Japanese universities and industry partners will result in the opening up of a plethora of activities in the academic sphere. He added that the objective of such collaboration is to develop something which is Asian in character but global in application.

Recently, IIM Nagpur had also established a dedicated center of excellence, the Indo-Japan Research Center (IJRC) under the chairmanship of Prof. Rahul Kumar Sett.
