AMU postpones entrance test, academic session to begin from August

NEW DELHI: Aligarh Muslim University has decided to postpone all the admission and departmental test and rescheduled them for the month of July or early August.

The admission process will be completed by August 31 and the academic classes for the newly admitted students will commence from September 1.

The fresh dates of admission and the departmental test will be notified soon by the university.

The online classes will be continued till May 31 and the period of lockdown will be considered as “deemed to be attended” by all the students and the attendance will be reckoned accordingly.

“The period from June 1 to June 15 shall be utilized for finalization of the dissertation, project work, e-labs, completion of syllabus, assignment, reports and internal assessment,” states an official notification released by the university.

The final year and terminal semester examinations are scheduled to be conducted from July 1 in offline mode. The viva-voce examination will be conducted in the month of July. The upcoming academic session will start in the month of August (except for first-year students)

AMU has also set up a helpline for examination related queries to address the concerns of students.
